Previously on Why Not Burgers, I was reviewing on Cheddar Shack by Shake Shack, which is not in Thailand unfortunately. Therefore this week, I decided to begin reviewing burger in Bangkok just so Thai readers or anyone who stays in Bangkok can go and give it a try. Let's start with one of well-known cafes, Roast, which is located in one of the shopping districts in Bangkok, Emquartier.
Roast has significant coffee menus;however, it has delectable main dishes as well, such as burgers of course. Roast has 2 burger menus: Pulled Pork Burger (bbq pork) and Johnny's Burger (Beef and bacon cheese burger). But for this review, I chose Pulled Pork Burger because bbq burgers are hard to find compared to cheese burgers if you ask me.

Pulled Pork Burger came with chips and the price was 320 baht not including VAT and service charge. Personally, the price was worth my money since the size of the burger wasn't small at all. Plus, the overloaded filling they gave didn't disappoint me. The bun was toasted with butter which when I took a bite I could feel the smell lingered in my nose. The bun was soft as well as the bbq pork and it just melted in my mouth. The pork itself was so juicy and tender, it wasn't dry at all. However, it was a little bit sweet for me but if you put a little bit of salt, it would be fine.

The burger didn't come only with the pork but it was topped with purple cabbage coleslaw as well. Surprisingly, the taste was good enough combining the two. The chips that came with the burger were crispy and it was not ordinary chips like McDonald's. Overall, I would give this menu 4 out of 5 because the taste of the burger, especially the bbq pork, was really delicious even though it was little sweet. Moreover, it really made my mouth watery Mmmmmmm.

If you're interested in trying this menu and have no idea how to get to the cafe, here's the direction.
- Take the BTS (Sukhumvit Line) to Phrom Phong station and Roast is located on 1st floor, The Helix Quartier (the building that has Chanel, Prada etc.), Emquartier. When you enter the main entrance of The Helix, just take the the escalator to first floor and Roast will be right in front of you.
If you are willing to take your own car, Emquartier offers you 2 hours free parking as well.
